Emergency numbers

Amid fears of the expansion of COVID-19 and the restrictions announced on the weekend for all people arriving in Australia, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco advises its fellow-citizens to refer to the Department of Health fact sheets through the following links:

In this regard, all persons in transit to home isolation are to adhere to the following requirements:

· Wherever possible, to travel to one’s own location for isolation (for example, travelling from the airport), it is preferable to use a personal mode of transport, such as a car, to minimise exposure to others.

· In need of public transport to transit to a specific location for isolation (e.g. connecting domestic flight, taxis, ride-hail services, trains, buses and trams), the following precautions are to be taken:

- wear a surgical mask, if available

- avoid direct contact with other passengers, drivers and transport staff

- Practise good hand hygiene and cough/sneeze hygiene: wash hands frequently with soap and water, before and after eating, and after going to the toilet

- cover cough and sneeze, dispose of tissues, and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser

- and if unwell, avoid contact with others (stay more than 1.5 metres from other people).
