Saudi Official : Morocco, Saudi Arabia Aspire to Establish Joint Commissions on Public Judicial Service

Chairman of Saudi Arabia's Board of Grievances, Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, said, Monday in Rabat, that Morocco and Saudi Arabia aspire to set up joint commissions on public judicial service.

In a statement to MAP, on the sidelines of his talks with minister of Justice Mohamed Aujjar, Al-Youssef stressed that the aspect on monitoring international judicial developments, particularly in the Arab world, is of major importance.

MAP, Rwanda News Agency Sign Cooperation Agreement

The Moroccan News Agency (MAP) and Rwanda News Agency (RNA) signed on Monday in Rabat a cooperation agreement to develop exchange of information and strengthen professional relations between the two agencies.

Inked by Managing Director of MAP, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, and RNA's Director, André Gakwaya, this agreement will allow the mutual exploitation of news stories published in English by the two agencies, including multimedia products (pictures, audio clips, videos, computer graphics…).

UfM Should be Rehabilitated as Framework for Political Dialogue and Conciliation

The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) should be rehabilitated as a framework for political dialogue and conciliation, said Monday in Barcelona minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita.

The minister, who took part in the 3rd Union for the Mediterranean Regional Forum held under the theme "Building together the future of regional cooperation", noted that the UfM's technical mandate "is no longer to its advantage".

The setting up of reception centers for immigrants is only an attempt to externalize the problem and is not a solution, said El Khalfi during a press briefing after the weekly cabinet meeting, stressing that "we need a long-term solution and not an immediate economic solution".

Europe needs to update its vision of Africa, said minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita.

Spain's State Secretary for Migration, Consuelo Rumi, praised Morocco's "responsible engagement" in the fight against illegal immigration, noting that the role of the Kingdom in this area cannot be questioned.

"Morocco honors its commitments and respects the agreements it has signed" in the fight against illegal migratory flows, Rumi pointed out in an interview with MAP at the end of her two-day working visit to Morocco, during which she held talks with several Moroccan officials that focused on issues of common interest in the areas of migration and employment.
