HM King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolence and compassion to president of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdelfattah Al-Sissi, following the terrorist attack against a bus carrying Copts in Minya province.

HM the King says he learned with great sorrow and outrage the sad news of the heinous terrorist attack on a Coptic bus in Minya province, killing several people.

The Office of the public prosecutor was elected a member of the executive board of the Africa Prosecutors Association (APA), on the sidelines of the 13th Conference of the Association, held from 30 October to 1 November in Mauritius.

Morocco was thus elected vice-president of the executive board and representative of North African countries within the APA, while the Egyptian prosecutor's office was elected head of this board, said Sunday a statement by the public prosecutor's office.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Nasser Bourita held, Saturday in Libreville, talks with Gabon's minister of State, minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, Francophonie and Regional Integration, Régis Immongault Tatangani.

The talks focused on the excellent relations between the two brotherly countries and the follow-up of the bilateral cooperation agreements concluded in various areas.

The two ministers also discussed the upcoming events at the African Union level.

Morocco’s southern provinces are the "ideal hub" to the African continent, said, Saturday in Laayoune, chairman of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco (CFCIM), Philippe-Edern Klein.

"The region of the South benefits from ambitious investment programs, both public and private, and major infrastructure projects that make it the ideal hub to the African continent," Klein said at the opening of the Morocco-France business Forum, held on November 2-4 in Laayoune under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, reaffirmed, in an interview with French newspaper 'Le Monde’, Morocco's unwavering commitment to its territorial integrity and its refusal to accept any solution that might call it into question.

"Some things are not negotiable for Morocco, namely any solution that would call into question the territorial integrity of the Kingdom or that would provide for a referendum option," the minister stressed, referring to the round table, to be held on December 5-6 in Geneva.

The international conference on migration scheduled for next December in Marrakech to adopt the Global Compact on Migration is a "world summit" that will address a "structuring" matter in international relations, said, Thursday in Rabat, minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita.

Sahara Issue: Autonomy Plan 'a Serious Basis for Future Discussions', Says France

The autonomy plan proposed by Morocco constitutes "a serious basis for future discussions" with a view to a final settlement of the Moroccan Sahara issue, said, Wednesday in New York, France's permanent representative to the UN, François Delattre.

Speaking before the UN Security Council after the adoption of its resolution 2440 extending the mandate of the Minurso for six months, Delattre stressed that "for France, the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco constitutes a serious basis for future discussions" on the Sahara issue.

Morocco has improved its ranking in the World Bank's Doing Business 2019 report, published Wednesday in Washington, to 60th position worldwide.

In the MENA region, Morocco ranks second in this report, considered as the reference document on the global business environment, behind the United Arab Emirates (11th worldwide) and ahead of Bahrain (62nd), according to a statement by the department of the head of government.

In Africa, the Kingdom is in third place behind Mauritius (20) and Rwanda (29).
