Morocco, Spain Enjoy "Exemplary" Cooperation in Fight against Illegal Immigration and Terrorism, Says FM

Morocco and Spain enjoy an "exemplary" cooperation in the fight against illegal immigration and terrorism, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, said Wednesday in Rabat.

The cooperation between the security services and the interior ministries of the two countries is "a model of inter-regional cooperation," Bourita pointed out at a press conference with his Spanish counterpart, Alfonso Dastis, who is on a working visit to the Kingdom.

Morocco was unanimously appointed to host the upcoming ministerial conference of the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).

The African Ministers of Finance, who met at the Commission's headquarters in Addis Ababa, on May 11-15, welcomed the offer to host the Conference made by Mohamed Boussaid, Minister of Economy and Finance.

ADNOC, OCP Intend to Develop Global World-Class Fertilizers Joint Venture

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and OCP Group of Morocco (OCP) have agreed to explore the creation of a new global fertilizers joint venture, in a move that will accelerate the execution of both ADNOC and OCP's international strategies.

This proposed project extends the partnership already established through the existing long-term sulphur offtake agreement that was announced by the two firms in December 2017, said on Tuesday the two companies in a joint statement.

Morocco and Dominica are exploring the possibility of carrying out a joint project in aquaculture, said, Friday in Rabat, secretary of State for Fisheries, Mbarka Bouaida.

Dominica is "very interested" in Morocco's experience in aquaculture and it was agreed to explore the possibility of sending a technical mission to examine water quality and climatic conditions in the region for a joint project, Bouaida told the press after a meeting with Foreign minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Francine Baron.

Paris Knife Attack: HM the King Strongly Condemns Despicable Terrorist Act

HM King Mohammed VI has strongly condemned the knife attack that took place in Paris on Saturday night.

In a message to French President Emmanuel Macron, HM the King said he learnt with great grief the sad news of this "despicable terrorist act", in which one person was killed and four others were injured.

In this painful circumstance, the Sovereign expressed, in his personal name and on behalf of the Moroccan people, to President Macron, to the victims' families and to all the French people, his sincere feelings of compassion and his full solidarity.
